Lessons I Provide
Teaching is more than disseminating information - it’s about building confidence and providing students with the tools they need in order to think critically and succeed. I believe that successful teaching changes habits, and helps build the foundation for a successful future.
Group Lessons / Classes
Teachers need to be able to motivate and guide students to success. As an experienced Math Tutor, I can identify students’ problem areas and work with them in positive, constructive ways to achieve success. I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities.
One-on-One Lessons
I specialize in One-on-One Lessons, and encourage my students to excel through personalized attention, patience, a lot of practice, and hard work. I build relationships with my students, teaching towards their learning styles in a stress free environment.
I have many years of experience as a homeschool mom and a private math tutor. I have also enjoyed working for several years with a math-only learning center where I tutor a variety of students of all ages from both public and private schools. After earning a BS in Electronic Engineering Technology, I worked in the corporate environment for several years before deciding to stay home and teach my children. During my years of homeschooling, my passion and ability for helping students understand math in simple terms grew . After years of tutoring I have learned to adapt quickly and to tailor to individual learning styles. I look forward to working with students, sharing my excitement about the subject and preparing them for the next level.
